If you are new to blogging, chances are you need to find a niche or Topic for your new blog. Maybe you are starting a new blog? With more and more people turning to the Internet for part-time or full-time income, the need for blogger’s to find their niche is increasingly important. Because I know how hard it is to find a successful niche, I want you to check out these excellent resources for Blog Niche and Topic Ideas. I hope they will provide you with some ideas:

Wendy Piersall at Sparkplugging has probably the largest list of topics I have ever seen. Categories include Academics, Internet, Industries, Animals, Arts & Entertainment, Music, and more. You can check out her blog here

Another method I use for searching blog name ideas and topics is BlogCatalog. It is exactly what it says, a catalog of blogs and it contains some great lists of categories you can pick and choose from. It also helps you see who else is blogging about the same topics. They have great resources and tools available as well!

Technorati is also a great place to look for blog niches. Technorati offers their “Top 100 List” which includes the top 100 blogs updated once per day. This way you can check and see which blog topic and blogs are successful. Chances are one of the topics will be something you like.

You also might want to check out this excellent list of blog lists from bloggersblog.com. It has a “list of lists” of some of the best websites and blogs on the Internet. Gain some inspiration by doing some research to find your calling!

Final Thought:

Just remember to ask yourself these two questions, what are you good at and what do you enjoy talking about? If you can truthfully find the answers to those questions then you can easily setup a blog and maintain it onĀ  a daily basis. I hope this helps you get some ideas for your next blog!
